Rooted in Tradition, Growing with Every Generation
Our story began in 1979 when Alfred and Sydell Herrick took a leap of faith and purchased a manufactured housing community with the hope of building something meaningful—for their family and for others. Al had already lived a remarkable life by then, serving proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard a Destroyer Escort before becoming a respected electrical contractor in New York City. Sydell was his constant partner, both in life and in business—managing books, taking calls, running errands, and doing whatever was needed to keep things moving forward. Together, they built not only a business, but a way of life grounded in hard work, loyalty, and deep care for people. What started as a shared dream between two devoted partners quickly became a family legacy.
As the years passed, their youngest son, Stuart Herrick, joined them in the business, throwing himself into the work with the same dedication and heart his parents had modeled. He met and married Randi, and together they raised their children, Morisa and Liad, to appreciate the value of community and the pride of continuing something rooted in family. Now, with Stuart, Randi, Morisa, and Liad at the helm, the community remains a true family endeavor—three generations strong. Though Al and Sydell have since passed on, their spirit lives in every home, every handshake, every improvement made with love. We’re not just a housing community—we’re a place where legacy, service, and connection come together to make people feel truly at home.
